<you>Hi</you>
<him>Hey</him>

<you>So, how are things at Pixel Junction?</you>
<him>Great, we are currently having a contest sponsored by Jelsoft, winner gets a copy of vBulletin :) </him>

<you>Cool, what are your plans for Pixel Junction in the upcoming year?</you>
<him>Well nothing is permanent, plans change. Some of our plans include making it more integrated with vBulletin, so our users can experience a more community based site. This should be implemented fairly soon. We will also be launching a Pixel Junction services page, where if someone chooses to become a client, will receive a unique ID where they can track their status, payment , send trouble tickets and more. I shouldn't be giving away too many secrets :) </him>

<you>Ahh, neat, what all do you yourself do and who else works with you on Pixel Junction?</you>
<him>Well I usually take care of customizing the board around Pixel Junction, and making sure everything works on that end. I usually leave news posting to Prolex. We both work on tutorials for Pixel Junction as well. As you may know, Melonn is the true coding genius behind Pixel Junction. He makes our lives a lot easier with his PHP scripts, allowing us to update on the fly. PHP/mySQL is the new wave, jump on! </him>

<you>PHP is definitely the new wave of the 'Net. On a personal note, what all do you like to do besides work on the computer?</you>
<him>Well most of my time is occupied with client work and other various sites like vbulletin.org. When I do manage to get some time off I usually release some stress by partying, hanging with friends and watching movies. Parents might see this, so I can't say to much, lol. I'll leave it up to your imagination to figure out the rest.
</him>

<you>Haha, what all are you experienced in? HTML, 3d graphics, etc?</you>
<him>Well I am very experienced in HTML, Graphics like Photoshop, and Bryce/Poser. I have purchased a few books on ASP, PHP, 3D Studio Max. I am also familiar with C++, making some unique programs. I don't plan on making a living designing websites or anything. I will most likely get into networks, get lots of money and drive a Lexus. That's right, a Lexus! </him>

<you>A Lexus eh? Drive around in the 'hood :) Do you have a degree in graphics, or are you still in an educational facility?</you>
<him>It's my last year of high school, the big grade 12, as you have so kindly referred to as an “Educational Facility”. I don't plan on getting any degrees in graphics design, as it's not a career I plan on pursuing. I will most likely go to post secondary school, get a degree in network administration, or a computer engineering degree. </him>

<you>Prolex, your twin brother, also works with you on Pixel Junction. Does he plan on taking the same choice?</you>
<him>Most likely, he tends to follow me around. LOL, just kidding. Yeah he mostly has the same plans as me, we seem to both enjoy the thought of having a successful computer job somewhere. Most likely move to the [United] States and live in some high priced neighborhood. </him>

-=To be fair to the twin brothers, we decided to continue the other half of the interview with Prolex.=-

<you>Hiya :)</you>
<him>Hey, How are you doing? </him>

<you>I'm doing alright. How about you?</you>
<him>I'm doing great. I've definitely been keeping myself busy. </him>

<you>Cool, do you have anything you would like to add to the questions which Sinecure answered?</you>
<him>No, I don't particularly have anything to add to those answers. As Sinecure already stated we are basically choosing same career paths although I'll probably go into Internet Security. Then again, you never know until your there.
</him>

<you>What do you say to the people who say that there is too much competition in the Internet overall and against Pixel Junction?
</you>
<him>Well I'd have to say that they are looking at it the wrong way. The whole point of sites like Pixel Junction and Spoono and the various other community sites isn't to promote competition. It's to help out the community that many of us got our start from. As far as overall internet “competition” I believe there is a lot but I also believe it's a good thing. Without overall internet competition we wouldn't progress.
</him>

<you>Wow insight by Prolex, as a requested question, If you could say one thing to upcoming graphics designers what would it be?</you>
<him>That's definitely an open ended question but I like it. If I could say one thing it would be to develop your own unique technique or your own style so to speak. Everyone has to start somewhere and almost everyone starts off browsing the net for Photoshop tutorials. This is a great way to start but I think once the artist (yourself) has developed enough to skill to create their own style they should. For example, look at the unique styles of Static5 and DoodleVision. When you see their work you don't have to be told it's by Static5. You can tell immediately that they have created it because it has their style built right in. In my opinion that's advice I would give to artists entering the graphics community. Deviate from the norm.
</him>

<you>Intriguing, as a Canadian, what is your overall response to the terrorist actions which have occurred in the United States and the response which we have taken?</you>
<him>Well, my personal opinion on that matter is that the terrorist attacks have not only been an attack on the United States, but everyone. If you look at the way markets crumbled after the horrific attacks you can tell that it has affected everyone. As a Canadian I believe that our country has not responded adequately enough. Yes, we may have sent troops over to Afghanistan but I believe they haven't looked at the problem closer to home. Terrorist should not have been allowed to get as far as they did. Sadly enough it has taken a tragic event like this for action to be taken. I believe that the action being taken by United States right now is just. They should seek out the individuals who are responsible and bring them to justice. This is definitely a topic I have mixed feelings about.

</him>

<you>It is a tragedy indeed. On the web, who has been your greatest influence?</you>
<him>Well to tell you the truth I've never had one influence nor do I think I ever will. I believe my greatest influence has been the actual community itself. I love to see the graphics community grow and this is what influences me to keep on helping individuals develop their graphics skills. But If I had to pick one person who has influence me the most if would be Doug from Melonn.com. He's always been a great friend to me and his words always inspire me to create better art.
</him>

<you>Finally, do you have anything else to say before we wrap up the interview?</you>
<him>Well I'd like say something again to people entering the graphics community. Too often I hear of people entering the graphics community purely to make money. I've spent almost three long years learning and I've just come to the point recently where I can start bringing on clients. When I first started graphics design, money was the last thing on my mind. I was doing it simply because I was interested in a unique visual experience. To this day I still do not do it for the money. If you want to learn to do graphics do it for yourself, not the money.
</him>

<you>Well thanks a lot for your time and good luck with your future plans and Pixel Junction.</you>
<him>You too, take care. Good luck in all your future endeavors. </him>
