Painted Images
Learn how to make am image look like an old style photograph.

Here is our subject for today. Anna Kournikova! Ok guys stop staring, we have work to do.

Ok now first, duplicate your layer with the picture of Anna on it, by clicking
Select > Duplicate Layer On this duplicated layer (top most layer) click
Image > Adjustments > Desaturate.

Now it's time to add some Brush Strokes. Once again,
duplicate the
desaturated layer, and this time go to
Filters > Brush Strokes > Angled Strokes. Use the following guidelines, Direction Balance: 100, Stroke Length: 25, Sharpness: 1. Play around with these settings to your liking.

Texture Time! Make a new layer on top of all the other layers, and click
Filters > Noise > Add Noise. Use settings of, Amount: 400%, Gaussian and Monochromatic.

On the same layer you just added noise to, click
Filters > Blur > Gaussian Blur. Use settings of about, 3.9 pixels.

Now it doesn't look like much, but, now for the grade finale. On all the layers
except the original coloured layer, set the
Layer settings to
Overlay. Viola, you now have Anna Kournikova like shes in a old picture.
